| 11/26/06: Happy Holidays & We'll See You in 2007!
Hey everyone - once again, thanks for another amazing year. We couldn't have done it without you guys sticking with us through all the trials and tribulations. So here's hoping you all have a safe and happy holiday season and we'll see you all in 2007! 11/12/06: Just a little update . . . So I know we were so excited about playing with Venus's first band, Valient Thorr at 3 Kings on November 22nd, but apparently they have been called back to their home planet and won't be making the show. But the show must go on, so now we will be headlining, and this will be our last headlining show of the year. Also on the bill will be Denver's own Dead Ringer and our good friends in Red Stinger. Hey, that rhymes! All this and the next day is Thanksgiving, so don't miss out. We've also been making plans for 2007 . . . . we are back and stronger than ever, so we're looking forward to a rockin, productive year. Stay tuned! 10/22/06: We're BACK . . . and here's a couple new shows . . . First off, thanks to everyone who came out to our first couple shows back in Colorado Springs and Denver. You guys sure know how to welcome someone back, and we had a blast rocking for you guys. We have a couple more shows coming up that just might be our last of the year, unless something comes up of course. The first is at The Walnut Room in Denver on November 10th. Also on the bill will be ADHD (from L.A.), No Fair Fights, and our good buds in Boldtype. You don't want to miss this one. Did I mention that The Walnut Room has some killer pizza? Now, Reno Divorce are every bit an international band, having played all over the U.S., Europe, and the United Kingdom and we have more fans in places like Japan, The Pillipines, Indonesia, Australia, and more . . . but for all these accomplishments, we have yet to play with a band that has INTERGALACTIC success. Until now. Venus's most popular punkers Valient Thorr (seriously, I read their bio, and it says they're from VENUS - actually, some place beneath the surface of Venus, but whatever) will be playing 3 Kings on Wednesday, November 22nd (the night before Thanksgiving) and we will be providing the main support slot. There will be another band announced soon. This should be a killer show as VT is a great band and this is a great excuse to get your rock on before going hanging out with the Fam on T-Day. 10/15/06: 1st headlining show in Denver since May!! This coming Friday, October 20th, the monsters will return and Reno Divorce will headline our first show in Denver since May. Joining us at the always awesome Bender's Tavern will be The Lucky Stiffs (from SF) and two of Denver's own, Red Stinger and The Allergies. 8/28/06: RENO DIVORCE to play the 1st Annual Horror Hop in Colorado Springs We have been invited by our good friends The Mansfields to play their first annual Horror Hop in Colorado Springs. The show takes place on the spooky date of Friday, October 13th at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium. Yeah, the friggin' Auditorium. We will provide the main support slot and The Mansfields will headline. But you should get there early because there are many great bands on the bill. Check out this line-up: The Mansfields Reno Divorce The Right Aways The Swanks The Summerlife Best of all , this show is ALL AGES and tickets are on sale NOW for the low price of only $10. For more info and to find out how to get your tickets, check out the Horror Hop Myspace site here. And for those of you holding your breath for a Denver show . . . soon, very soon . . . 8/13/06: Andrew Returns! About 3 months ago, I stepped down from the band to get some personal stuff together with my health. At the time I left, I was dangerously underweight and sickly and I just wasn’t getting better. Since then, I basically took the summer off, relaxed with my family, finally found a good doctor, and have gained 20 pounds! I also have been experiencing far less symptoms and on the whole, my health is improving big time. During my time out of the band, I was still occasionally playing with Reno Divorce, doing all the band’s gigs over the summer and a few rehearsals. Around the time of what was to be my official last show, back in July, the guys approached me about returning to the band and working at a pace that would help me to get better. Ever since I joined the band back in April of 2001, Reno has been a family, and it just didn’t feel right to the rest of the guys to have to replace a family member. And for me, it just didn’t feel right either. So, of course I agreed! We will be taking things at a relaxed pace for a while. I have some more weight to gain and am constantly working on new ways to deal with my condition. So by doing less shows, I can plan time for healing around our show schedule. Then once I get things figured out and get that clean bill of health . . . it’s ON! Until then, I’m back in the band and we’re all excited as hell to start rehearsing again and finish working on a new batch of tunes that we started just before I left. I’d also like to say thanks to everyone who’s been so supportive of me during these dark times, including family, friends, and fans. You guys were definitely an inspiration to get back to the rock and I can’t thank you enough for all your words of encouragement, thoughts, and prayers. Respect the ROCK!! Andrew El Diablo Erich 5/7/06: Andrew steps down from Reno Divorce Hey everyone I just wanted to write something real quick here to try to end any confusion and/or rumors that may be going around. As many of you know, for the last year and a half I have been very ill. Many people have commented to me or to other band members on how I am wasting away and I know that a lot of people are concerned. Frankly, so am I! This whole time, I have been pushing ahead and trying to ignore the illness, but its finally catching up to me. No matter how hard I try, I just am not able to get any better or gain my weight back. And when I do finally start to gain it back and my symptoms stabilize a bit, we hit the road again or do a string of local shows and I am sick all over again. It has gotten to the point where I can barely make it through a show, let alone a whole tour. So, in consideration of my health and in the best interests of the band, I have decided to step down from Reno Divorce for a while. This was probably the hardest decision I've had to make in my entire life, but the guys in the band are 100% behind me on this. While I am away, I will be concentrating all my efforts on getting healthy again eating right, going to doctors, having more tests done, etc. Meanwhile, Reno Divorce are still planning on doing some dates with a fill-in drummer. I'd like to say a quick thanks to all the fans and cool people I've met on tour and at local shows, everyone whos helped me out in the last year and a half with some safe food I can eat, and anyone who just took the time to talk to me about my condition. And of course, thanks to the family known as Reno Divorce. I will be playing all the currently booked dates with the band through the beginning of June, so please come out and see me off. Respect the ROCK forever Andrew Erich Drummer, Reno Divorce From The Band: We would like to wish Andrew the best of luck and a speedy recovery. We support his decision in every way. He will be missed but his health is the most important thing right now. As Andrew said, Reno Divorce will continue to play shows in his absence with another drummer TBA. See you all soon ! 4/17/06: Reno Divorce at the Gothic - ALL AGES Show Coming up on April 28th, we will be playing a benefit for the Urban Citizen's Project at the Gothic Theater in Denver. This is an ALL AGES show and we will be playing in the 2nd to last slot. Be sure to show up early to catch all the other bands and support this great cause. Show is at 7pm. 4/5/06: Reno Divorce to open for Death By Stereo Next Monday, April 10th, we will be opening for Epitaph recording artists Death By Stereo at the Bluebird Theater in Denver. This is an ALL AGES show. Other bands set to appear on the bill include Casket Life, We're All Broken, & October Episode. Don't miss it! 3/12/06: West Coast Tour Dates are in! The dates for our annual West Coast Tour are listed below. 3/17/06: Bender's. Denver, CO w/The Railbenders 3/24/06: Mojo's Cafe. Ogden, UT ALL AGES 3/25/06: Double Down. We will be main support for the Railbenders on a bill opened by Jett Black. This will be a party like no other, so be sure not to miss it! 1/1/2006: Reno Divorce seek 2nd Guitar Player After spending the last 2 years as a 3 piece, we’ve decided that what we need is someone holding down the Rhythms with Tim and Andrew, so we are now officially looking for a 2nd Guitarist. Now, of course we have a few requirements, as we can’t have just anyone step into this band, so here’s a list of what YOU, the Guitar candidate, MUST have or be before showing up: 1. Must be ready, willing, and able to tour the U.S. and abroad. That means you’re gonna need a passport, too. We have several irons in the fire and are looking to do a lot of touring this year, particularly in the Spring and Summer months. Last year we spent over 2 months on tour . . . this year it will be more like 3 or 4. 2. Please, no drinking or drug problems. We have been through this a number of times through the years, and we just don’t have the time or patience to babysit someone who can’t keep it together. We are NOT straightedge or anti-fun types, but we keep our partying where it belongs – off the stage and out of the way. 3. Must learn 4 songs of our choosing and show up and pass an audition process. This also includes some time hanging out with us, so we know you’re not an asshole. Seriously, it matters. If you pass this audition, you must eventually learn a backlog of 40+ songs. 4. Dedication: For better or for worse, this band is our lives. We have spent many years working on this band at 100% dedication, often making personal sacrifices to do so. No one in Reno Divorce has a side project or is in another band. If you join Reno Divorce, we would ask the same commitment and dedication from you. You have to love this band and love what we do just as much as we do, otherwise it just isn’t going to work. 5. You must have your own professional gear. A practice amp isn’t going to cut it. 6. Must have a professional attitude. 7. Backing Vocals are a definite plus. 8. Must be able to practice with the band 2-3 times a week at a minimum. 9. Reno Divorce is a family. We are looking for a team player/family member, not a hired gun. Interested parties can contact us at renodivorceonline@yahoo.com. If you have links to stuff you’ve done on the web (like a Myspace with your pic and some MP3s featuring your playing on it), please send us the links so we can check it out. Auditions will be held throughout the first couple months of 2006. Ideally, we would want the new Guitarist to make their debut with us on our West Coast Tour in March. If you have any other questions, please feel free to send us an email. 12/21/05: Happy Holidays from Reno Divorce Here's wishing all of you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! 2005 has been our craziest year yet. We did more touring this year than any year before and had many ups and many downs, but through it all, you guys, the fans, have kept us doing it, so we'd just like to say THANKS for all you do. That means coming out to the shows, emailing us, hanging out with us before and after the shows, putting us up, feeding us, helping us get shows, or just telling your friends about us. You guys are the best and without you, we'd still be looking at rooms with 5 people in them on Monday nights in Denver. We will be starting 2006 off with a bit of a break . . .well, kind of a long one. We will probably not be playing any shows until our annual late Winter/early Spring West Coast Tour in March. What will we be doing during this time off? Well, we've got a few things to keep us busy and that's about all we'll say about that for now. Keep your eyes and ears open for a major announcement soon, though! So, with that, Happy Holidays to you and yours and we will see you in 2006! 12/14/05: The Nightmare Before Christmas . . . Don't miss our LAST SHOW of the YEAR this Sunday at the Bluebird! This ALL AGES event will be headlined by the fabulous Mansfields and opened by the mighty 18 Wheeler, with us playing right in the middle. There will be FREE TICKETS for those of you that are 21 or older at the pre-show party across the street at The Goosetown Tavern between 6-7:30 pm Night of the show. If you only go to one show this Christmas season . . . make it this one! 12/4/05: Reno Divorce to open 2 nights for Agent Orange and 1 night for The Blasters . . . an old school punk rock weekend to remember for years to come . . . This coming weekend we have secured three killer opening slots for two great old school punk bands. First up, it's no secret that Agent Orange is one of our favorite bands. Many of you have probably heard us cover "Tearing Me Apart," and hopefully you either already knew of them or that helped you discover this awesome surf/punk band. We will be returning to Fort Collins for only the 3rd time this year to open up for the mighty Agent Orange at the Aggie Theater on Friday night and then we will share the stage with them again in Denver at the Lion's Lair on Sunday. Then on Saturday night, we share the stage with legendary roots rockabilly working class masters The Blasters at the Bluebird in Denver. This will be a weekend to remember for years to come . . . seriously, you're gonna be sorry if you miss it. It's not every day when legendary bands like this pass through town, and you never know if they'll be back again. SEE YOU AT THE SHOWS! Friday 12/9/05: Aggie Theater. Fort Collins, CO. W/AGENT ORANGE Saturday 12/10/05: Bluebird Theater. Denver, CO. W/THE BLASTERS Sunday 12/11/05: Lion's Lair. Denver, CO. W/AGENT ORANGE 11/17/05: Reno Divorce featured in Loud Fast Rules magazine (Issue #2) Be sure to check out the new issue of Loud Fast Rules magazine for an interview with Brent. They also ran some cool pics of us and we have a song on the FREE CD that comes with the magazine! LFR is available at Interpunk, Hot Topic, Tower Records, Borders, and many more fine locations. 11/12/05: New Reno Divorce Merch - FINALLY!! Yes, we've heard your cries in impatient voices - "where's the new merch guys?" Being that we're generally pretty broke, we've had a hard time getting new stuff to you, our loyal fans. Well all that is about to end, thanks to the folks over at Cafepress.com. With their help, we are now able to have an online store where you can order these WEB ONLY, EXCLUSIVE Reno Divorce items. Yes, we said WEB ONLY, meaning we WILL NOT HAVE THESE ITEMS AT SHOWS. Of course that's a bummer, cause there's some cool stuff, and on occasion we might have a small amount of some items on hand, but unfortunately, they are just too expensive to make for us to pass a good price on to you guys and not lose our asses, so we're selling them online only with no markup. There are many items up for sale already, including hoodies, jerseys, t-shirts, girlie shirts, hats, a mouse pad, and more. Just today we found out that they are now offering more shirt options, so keep watching for new stuff soon! Head over to www.cafepress.com/renodivorce and see what looks good to you! 11/12/05: More new shows A couple more Shows have been posted, and we're really excited about them. The first is our return to the Lion's Lair on November 19th with Ghost Blood. And then on November 26th, we will play the Grindwell Indoor Skatepark in Castle Rock with Whiskey Kiss. This is an ALL AGES show and our first time in the 'Rock, so come check it out! 10/16/05: 2 ALL AGES shows this month OK, you all know it's very rare for us to play ALL AGES gigs around here, and this month we are doing 2 killer shows that you just can't miss. The first is on Sunday October 23rd at the Fallen Skate Warehouse at 22nd and Larimer. We will be opening up for fellow Street Anthem Records artists The Hudson Falcons. They're a great street punk band from New Jersey in the middle of a daring 3 month tour, so come out and support them. Show starts at 8pm and it's $5. Then, on Friday October 28th, we will be appearing at a HUGE HALLOWEEN BASH at the Gothic Theater. Other bands on the bill include King Rat, Dr. Neptune, Letters from the Front, and Avoid. We will have free tickets for those over 21 years of age (email us here to get yours) and for those under that magical age, tickets are $5. I don't know when we'll be able to be a part of such a killer ALL AGES bill again, so come check this one out!! 10/16/05: Johnny Cash Tribute CD Out Now Back in April, we recorded a cover of "GuessThings Happen That Way," which is also included on Naysayers And Yesmen/Laugh Now Cry Later. The tune was originally recorded for a Johnny Cash Tribute CD called An International Underground Tribute to the Man In Black. Well, after a long delay, this CD has FINALLY come out on Rebellion Records. We got the 3rd track, which is awesome placement that we're really excited about. And there are some other great bands on there including Sweet Poison, Peter Pan Speedrock, Strongarm And The Bullies, The Dead 50's, Badlands, The Riot Company, and many more. To order a copy, you can buy it direct from Rebellion by going here. 9/23/05: The Long Awaited Return . . . That's right, we've been hinting at it for weeks, but we can now finally confirm for you that we will be doing our first show in town since the tour ended in July. This will be a casual, small, cozy affair at the fine establishment known as the 12 Volt Tavern (in Arvada) on Saturday October 8th. Warming things up for us will be King Rat and Dr. Neptune. We can't wait to get down on some rock power with you guys again. Get there early, this WILL sell out. 8/4/05: Reno Divorce on Denver's WB2 This Sunday! You can catch us on Denver's newest TV Magazine Denver Live this Sunday, August 7th on the WB2 at 11:30pm. The piece on us was taped at Bender's Tavern on the last night of our tour and consists of an interview by the Lovely Laura Kristi in addition to some live footage from the show. So be sure to tune in! 7/31/05: Buy Naysayers And Yesmen/Laugh Now Cry Later early! Street Anthem has put the new CD up for sale a couple weeks early for the amazing price of $9.99! You can buy the CD direct from them by going to their online store here. Or, you can wait until the August 16th release date, when many fine stores such as Amazon, Independent, Newbury Comics, Tower, Virgin, Angelo's, and many more will be stocking the CD. Go the Merch page for a list. Locally, Independent Records and Angelo's will be running sale prices and listening stations. On the East Coast, Newbury Comics will also be running sale prices listening stations. Stay tuned for more info on West Coast store promotions. 7/19/05: Back From Tour! After 27 Shows in 34 Days, we are back home! (You can check out ALL our Past Shows in the Show Archive) This was yet another crazy Reno tour . . . possibly the craziest yet. I’m sure the stories will get around. This time, I swear, we’re REALLY going to put some pictures up on the site. Now that we are home, we’re going to take some time off from live gigs to concentrate on personal matters and we also intend to get around to writing some new material. We’ll be dropping back in on you guys in a couple months, don’t worry! In the meantime, the new record, Naysayers And Yesmen/Laugh Now Cry Later, will be in stores EVERYWHERE on August 16th on Street Anthem Records. If your local store doesn’t have it on the shelf, ask them to order it! Again, the CD is a re-release of the complete Naysayers and Laugh Now recordings, re-mastered for superior sound with two new bonus tracks (“Guess Things Happen That Way”, a Johnny Cash cover and “Behind Closed Doors”, a tune that will also be on the Sweet Poison Vs. Reno Divorce split coming out this Christmas). The deluxe 12 page full color booklet features all new art, full lyrics, and 4 pages of pictures new and old. This is definitely the definitive version of both of these recordings, and the first version to be available widely right here in the U.S. In related news, as you know by now, we have parted ways with Boss Tuneage Records and they are no longer pressing copies of Reno Divorce titles. These include the original pressings of Naysayers and Laugh Now as well as the You’re Only Making It Worse album. So once the Boss Tuneage pressings are gone, they are GONE – no more will be made. Right now, we are out of stock on all of those titles, but we expect to be getting a final shipment of stock from Boss Tuneage before this year is over. So if you see a copy of one of these releases in a store or online, pick it up as it may be your last chance. Obviously, Naysayers and Laugh Now have been re-pressed onto one CD on the new title on Street Anthem, but we have yet to work out specifics for the continuation of You’re Only Making It Worse. We will keep you posted on what we do with that one. Lastly, we’ve gotta say thanks to everyone who helped make this tour a success! This tour was 100% DIY – booked by the band, for the band, and without the help of family and friends and fans new and old, it just wouldn’t have happened. So thank YOU to everyone who helped us out!! We’ll see you all on the next tour! Respect the ROCK! 6/24/05: One More Show added We'll be hitting Wichita, KS on 7/11/05. Check us out at the club Eternal Hot Rods with Haas & the Hates and The Gunning System. Stay tuned for more exciting tour info and in the meantime, read El Diablo's tour update on the message board for a quick peak into the tour. 6/23/05: Raleigh Shows Changed The two shows in Raleigh have now been consolidated into one new show on June 28th at Slims Downtown Distillery. Be sure to come on by and check us out! 6/16/05: Another Show Added Brent's home turf feels the love with a second show added in Deland, FL. We'll keep you posted with any new shows, so keep checking back! 6/6/05: Tour News More Tour Dates are still being confirmed every day. Keep watching the Shows page for more dates. Even after we leave, we will still be booking shows and posting updates so if we were supposed to be in your area, there's still a chance we could end up there. Stay tuned! 5/30/05: Online voting for Westword 2005 Music Showcase is now up! So please, go vote for us at this link! 5/21/2005: Vote for Reno Divorce in the Westword Music Showcase! Last week it was announced that we are one of the bands competing in the Punk Rock category of the 2005 Westword Magazine Music Showcase. This is a big honor here in Denver, and we didn't kiss any ass or change anything we do to get it. We just kept doing what we've done for the past 4 years: playing shows, putting out records, and touring, and apparently quite a few folks on the Westword election committee decided they couldn't ignore us anymore. So pick up the new issue of the Westword and submit your vote for Reno Divorce. They should also have online voting available soon at www.westword.com. 5/21/2005: Reno Divorce to play the People's Fair Yes, it's true, after taking last year off, we are giving the People's Fair another go this year. In 2003 we played at 10am and maybe a lot of you weren't awake yet . . . well, neither were we. But this year, we were offered a great date and slot and we simply couldn't say no. So, we will be playing Saturday June 4th on the Miller Stage at 2:30pm. This show is FREE and ALL AGES and will also be our LAST DENVER SHOW for a LONG TIME. Like maybe even until the Fall. So come check it out!!! 5/10/2005: Reno Divorce sign to Street Anthem Records! Finally, it can be told! OK, it’s probably no big secret by now that we have parted ways with Boss Tuneage Records. The parting was both amicable and necessary and we would like to publicly say “thanks” to Aston and wish him the best in his future label endeavors. In our search for a new label home, we met with many different labels, most of them in Europe. While we have always done well in Europe, our albums have never been widely released right here, in the good old US of A. In speaking with these different labels, we just didn’t connect with any of them the way we did with Street Anthem, who are based out of Philadelphia, PA and have an office in San Francisco, CA. After many conversations with brothers Jason and Bruno at Street Anthem, we came up with a really cool plan to work together and from there things happened rather quickly. The first joint venture from Reno Divorce and Street Anthem will be the first official U.S. release of two Reno Divorce recordings on one CD. Entitled Naysayers And Yesmen/Laugh Now Cry Later, the CD will contain both recordings in their entirety, newly re-mastered for a superior sound by Jeff Merkel at 8 Houses Down. The CD will also feature 2 newly recorded Bonus Tracks. The first, “Guess Things Happen That Way,” is a cover of a Cowboy Jack Clement song that the late great Johnny Cash made famous in the 50s. This is the most recent song on the collection, just recorded this past April at 8 Houses Down. Also included is a sneak peak teaser track from the upcoming Sweet Poison Vs. Reno Divorce split coming out later this year on Street Anthem. The new track is called “Behind Closed Doors” and we have been playing it live for some time now, so it’s probably familiar to many of you who have seen us in the last year or so. This track was recorded last summer at the legendary Blasting Room. The CD will also feature a 12 page deluxe full color booklet, complete with all lyrics and 4 pages of pictures and past gig flyers. Naysayers And Yesmen/Laugh Now Cry Later will see it’s official release in August of this year. We will however be selling copies on our tour this summer, so if you want your copy early, come see us live! The difference between past Reno Divorce releases and this new re-release is that you will be able to find this CD at most major stores. Tower Records, Best Buy, Virgin Mega, and many others will be stocking the CD right on their shelves! And, if you can’t find a copy at your local store, you can ask them to order it and receive your copy within a few short days. The CD will also be stocked and sold in Europe as well, where Reno Divorce CDs have been more readily available in the past. However, this new re-release is definitely a cool package for even the Reno Divorce fan who has it all, so check it out! We are all very excited about this new venture and the fact that we will now be available in many places where you could not obtain our CDs before. Our relationship with Street Anthem is just in the beginning stages, so watch for more new releases to be announced in the near future. A lot of possibilities are on the table right now, but we won’t announce anything new until all details are confirmed. Respect the ROCK! 4/21/05: Help us book our Tour! We are embarking on a 5 week U.S. Tour this Summer, which is quite an ambitious undertaking for a 100% DIY band like us . . . so, we could use your help! If you do booking or know someone who does, or even know of a cool club we could play, let us know! Just head over to the Shows page to see our Itinerary. Shows in Blue are ones that are not confirmed yet and where we could use a little help. If you see a city where you can help, shoot us an email! 4/14/05: Show in Alamosa Saturday! Just confirmed: We will be playing a big all-day festival at Plachy Hall on the Campus of Adams State College in Alamosa this Saturday April 16th. We will be in the main support slot, meaning we are the 2nd to last band to play (about 7:30pm). If you're in the area or up for a drive, you should check this one out! 3/28/05: On Tour Now!! 3/28/05: Bender's Tavern Denver, CO 3/29/05: Burt's Tiki Lounge SLC, UT 3/30/05: Cooler Lounge Las Vegas, NV 4/1/05: DiPiazza's Long Beach, CA W/The Smut Peddlers 4/2/05: Supersecret Party Long Beach, CA 4/3/05: Jughead's Phoenix, AZ More tour dates coming later this year! 3/25/05: Tonight's Show Cancelled Due to circumstances beyond our control, tonight's show in Fort Collins has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we will be back up in the Fort later this year. 2/27/05: SOLD OUT Weekend! Thanks to our new friends in Farmington and our old friends here in Denver, we played two SOLD OUT shows this weekend! We had a total blast and would like to give a shout out to all the bands, club staff, and all the fans who came out! We're taking the next couple weeks off from live gigs, but we'll be back with a vengeance in mid-March with some home shows and tour dates. Keep checking the Shows page for updates. Respect the ROCK! 2/19/05: Reno Divorce to open for L.A. Guns in New Mexico Just confirmed, we will be opening for L.A. Guns (yes, THAT L.A. Guns) at Big City Nite Club in Farmington, New Mexico this coming Friday, February 25th. This should be totally frickin awesome, so if you can make it out, we hope to see you there! 2/19/05: Reno Divorce Vs. Sweet Poison Mixed! Hope everyone had a great holiday season and we'll be seeing you soon! 12/06/04: 2004 - That's a Wrap With the shows this past weekend we have wrapped-up our live performances for another year. Thanks to everyone involved and to everyone who came out to the shows. We will be taking the rest of 2004 off to enjoy the Holidays with our families. And we will be getting down to some of that aforementioned we can't talk about it yet Business and getting some new Pictures and Stories from the European Tour on this site for you to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who supported us this year - we could never do this without you. And if we tried, it wouldn't be half as much fun. Happy Holidays and we'll see you in 2005! 11/25/04: Back from Europe . . . What a tour THAT was! The good, the bad, and the ugly were all in force. First, the good - Sweet Poison (and their wives, girlfriends, and family) are awesome and are the coolest people on the planet. They saved our asses with great shows, places to stay, food, showers, and all that shit that you take for granted at home but is like gold when you're on tour. Check them out already! Chris from Valdez - also an awesome dude who made a bad part of the tour, well, not quite so bad. Check out his band, too. Paolo for being the most awesome driver and putting up with our shit. And of course Aston at Boss Tuneage and Martine at Self Made Maniac for making it happen. The awesome bands we played with. And everyone else who put us up or put up with us. And as usual, we could not have done it without the fans. It was great to see so many people at these shows who knew all the words and some who even came to multiple shows! You guys ROCK! The bad - as with any tour, there were a few shows with less than great turnouts, bad promotion, or whatever. And then there was the time that shit got wild at the squat . . . we'll have to do some sort of Tour Diary, otherwise you guys would never believe half the stories we've got from this tour. And the ugly - unfortunately, we had to cancel the last couple of shows in Belgium because Brent came down with kidney stones and had to be flown back to the States to seek medical attention. If you don't know what kidney stones are, just know that they are about the most painful thing that can happen to a male (they call them the male equivalent of giving birth). And know that Brent is probably one of the toughest guys around cause he played 3 shows in extreme pain before the decision was made to get him back home. Our apologies to the folks who put these festivals together and of course to our Belgian fans, who are among the best out there! We WILL be back in the near future. For now, we are all back in the States and taking a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday and for Brent to recover. We are at this time still planning on playing our shows in Pueblo and Albuquerque next weekend and these will be our last shows of the year. We have a lot of work to do during our downtime . . . there are some big things on the horizon for Reno Divorce. We of course can't talk about them until they are official, but expect to hear some news late this year or early next. That's all the News for now. Thanks again to everyone who came to the shows in Europe! Happy Thanksgiving & Respect the ROCK! 10/31/04: Two More Days . . . Until we leave for EUROPE! All dates are posted, Shows confirmed, and bags packed. We can't wait to get over there and ROCK for our European friends! Oh, and uh . . . Happy Halloween, don't forget to set your clocks back an hour, and be sure to VOTE! See you in EUROPE! 10/15/04: More Shows Announced Head over to the Shows page for more dates in Europe, the UK, New Mexico, and Colorado. 10/01/04: UK Dates Are In! Check the Shows page to see some recently confirmed UK dates. A few more mainland Europe shows will be confirmed shortly. 10/01/04: Undead in Denver III Release Party at Hogbutler cancelled The Undead in Denver III Release Party scheduled to take place on October 16th at Hogbutler was recently cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the bands and Roman Ruin Records. The label is currently working on another venue to hopefully make the show happen. With the tour coming up, our schedule is pretty full but if the show can be scheduled for the same weekend, Reno Divorce will still play. 9/14/04: Just a little update . . . Thanks to everyone who came out to the T.S.O.L. show. It was a total honor to share the stage with them and we had a blast. It was a killer show and a great send off for us, as we will be taking a month long break from shows. During this break, we will be taking care of some personal stuff that needs to be done before the tour and hitting the practice space hard to put together an awesome selection of tunes to play out there. For you Denver types, we will return on October 16th for the Undead In Denver Volume III CD Release at Hogbutler. This should be a bad-ass show, with LOTS of bands making appearances. We should have more info on that show soon. So, take care of yourselves and we'll be back in a few weeks! Respect the ROCK! 8/30/04: Reno Divorce to open for T.S.O.L. Hey all - we have a show coming up on August 2nd at the Blue Mule in Denver. This is a really cool place, and we thought it would be fun to make this a special show. So what we're doing is we're going through the albums and picking the songs that we NEVER play live and we're going to play a bunch of them at this show, as well as some BRAND NEW tunes that will be recorded in a few weeks for an upcoming release. So make sure you come out - this will be a fun, loose show where you can catch us doing some tunes you may not hear live very often. 07/04/04: Warped Tour or Bust OK, the next show is the Warped Tour. So here's the info we have at the moment. The show takes place Sunday, July 18th @ Invesco Field in Denver. We will be performing at the Ernie Ball Local Heroes stage at about 12 Noon. This makes us the VERY FIRST band of the day, so show up early. Also, as some of you are aware, this is all part of a Battle of the Bands contest that Ernie Ball is throwing. The winning band gets some nice shiny new gear, so if you would, please click here to vote for us cause we could sure use some nice shiny new gear! Hope to see you all there! Respect the ROCK! 07/04/04: Back from Tour! We made it back from yet another tour. Of course we had a blast - we'll put up some funny quotes and pictures once we've caught up on some sleep. For now, we'd like to give a shout out to everyone we met out there, everyone who came to the shows, those who put us up, and those who just put up with us. We should also say a quick hello to the folks at Funhouse Tattoo in San Diego. Most of us got some new ink there, and if you're ever in that neck of the woods, you should, too. 06/08/04: Tour Dates Confirmed & EP News All of the Tour Dates for June have been confirmed. We will be returning to the studio in April to record some songs for a new EP to be released on Boss Tuneage Records later this year. Still working on a title and exactly which songs will be on the EP, but it will be 5-6 songs. On the Tour front, look for some more dates to be rolling in soon. Chances are good for a handful of Midwest dates, a West Coast run (one show is already posted), and Europe/UK later in the year 02/16/04: News Update Things have been a bit quiet here, so we thought we should let you know what's in store for the next few months . . . . - A new Reno Divorce line-up will be announced SOON! Probably one of the coolest things that happened was that Scott Reynolds got up on stage and sang the ALL song "Prison" with us at Stockage. For Brent, the highlight was probably singing "Skin Deep" with ALL during ALL Karaoke. Best quote: "I'm too ugly for that girl to be friends with me."- Seth. 4/15/02: Another Review Check out the Press Page to see what Original Sin Magazine (in Germany!) had to say about Naysayers and Yesmen. 4/14/02: Airplay on 106.7 Thanks to Aaron for calling to tell us that we were being played on KBPI's local show The Pit tonight. We caught "Hits You Hard," "Why'd You Give Up?," "M.O.," and "What Were You Saying." 4/14/02: Back Home . . . We'd like to thank everyone who came to see us this past week in Chicago, Lincoln, Denver, and at Stockage in Fort Collins. We had a blast and met a lot of cool people. Special thanks to the bands we played with, and of course to our buddies in the Pavers. We're hoping to go out and do more shows with them sooner rather than later. 4/2/02: Naysayers and Yesmen reviewed in Sleazegrinder Head over to the Press page to check it out.
